Futaleufú National Reserve

After an overly expensive breakfast at a café in Futaleufu, we bravely embarked on the challenging path 'over hill and stone' to the gate of the Futaleufu National Park. A short hike to the viewpoint 'El Condor' was worth every step in the sunshine and 30 degrees, with fantastic scenery around the Futaleufu River. We then set off along Route 7, the 'Carretera Austral', which is said to be the most beautiful road in the world, and driving here takes on a whole new meaning, heading towards Puyuhuaipi. We are spending the night at Cabanas Turin before continuing south tomorrow.
