Route: 101 kilometers, cumulative: 1,933 kilometers | Elevation gain: 520 m, cumulative elevation gain: 7,649 m, distance from home: 128 kilometers (as the crow flies)

It feels like an eternity since I last crossed the 100-kilometer mark. Once again, the weather was glorious today with nothing but blue skies. I was able to set off early and thoroughly enjoyed the ride in the cool temperatures. 🚴😊

But even after it warmed up, it was wonderful to ride without a jacket. The route was varied and enhanced with a few climbs here and there. After so many almost entirely flat kilometers, this was a nice change. It led to sweeping views followed by relaxing descents.

The Danube has shrunk and now looks like just a small tributary. The bridges are getting shorter too, which makes it much more pleasant for me. I saw many storks in the surrounding meadows. Three of them were particularly large. 🤣

I reached the 50-kilometer mark unusually early, even though I was cycling at a very leisurely pace. Nevertheless, I was hungry and looking forward to the Hungarian sausage salad. For a change, I took another selfie of it.

A particularly original fountain caught my eye in Zell. It couldn't be more fitting next to the Danube Cycle Path. Now I'm looking for someone to make me one just like it. 🤣

I booked my accommodation on Airbnb quite late today. My host's name is Hans. He lives alone in a beautiful large house and enjoys having a guest every now and then to chat with.

Otherwise, Inzigkofen is a sleepy village in the countryside. It has a single pub called 'Dorfstüble.' That's where I'm sitting right now to write this post. ✍🏽
