Distance: 96 kilometers, cumulative: 310 kilometers | Elevation Gain: 230, cumulative elevation gain 949 meters, distance from home: 803 kilometers (as the crow flies).

Once again, today I have already covered over 50 kilometers, time to take a break. I wrote this part of the blog during lunch.

In addition to cycling, I also take many steps daily. The last two days I took almost 8,000 each. This loosens my muscles and lets me see some of the places I visit.

I am often asked if my butt hurts from all the riding. Yes, it does, but I have two good remedies for that. First, a healing ointment, and second, my ignorance. I simply ignore the pain and so I don't feel anything. 😊 After a few days, the calluses are so thick that it is no longer a problem.

The evening walk through Györ yesterday was lovely, and I enjoyed a nice dinner. Afterwards, I rested well and, as usual, got up at 6 a.m. The hotel had a good breakfast, and still, I was able to set off at 8 a.m. with a full battery.

In Hungary, even in cities, there are two-lane bike paths. However, I still have to concentrate hard with Komoot to find the right ones.

I booked today's hotel only yesterday through Booking.com. And it seems that I was lucky. I found one that offers both breakfast and dinner at the price. Both are included. And as a last-minute deal, it was €45 cheaper. I am curious about what awaits me.

The weather remains unchanged. It is cloudless and a bit windy. The temperature is currently 24 °.

For lunch, I ate the leftover ribs from yesterday. They still taste good cold. I found a nice spot with a view of a ruin from Roman times when this land was called Pannonia, which is how my tour got its name. Shortly after that, I took another break right by the Danube, where drinks were also available.

In the meantime, I have returned to the other side of the Danube. Here the path is better, and I can pay with €.

So, my lunch break is over, and I'm taking the remaining 40 kilometers under the wheels.

The wind is still present, but it predominantly comes from the right. So it doesn't slow me down as much as yesterday.

The daily distance is increasing; today I've already covered 96 kilometers. Will it exceed 100 kilometers this time? In recent years, that was almost standard. At the moment, I'm also fine with shorter distances. I think I'm missing training! I was probably too spoiled in Argentina. It was just too good and beautiful. Warm greetings to my friends from Argentina.

There were no special occurrences today. I simply enjoyed the ride through the peaceful nature and can understand everyone who wished they could have come along.

Meanwhile, I have arrived at Hotel Las Palmas and am enjoying my Warsteiner.

Christoph
