July 3 - 4 - Beach and Moving

On the last day at Camping U Furu near Porto Vecchio, we enjoy the place and the pool until the afternoon and set off at three o'clock for Plage d'Acciaghju. This is a small beach in the southeast. Google Maps takes us down two dead ends, but eventually we sunbathe, swim, read, and go out for dinner at the beach Fritto Misto in the evening. That concludes our time in Porto Vecchio, which I can only recommend to a limited extent. The entire area is extremely sprawling, there are hardly any clear village structures, and getting to the sea is always a hassle. But Camping U Furu is great, apart from the ants.

The next morning we drive to Camping Europa Beach, located about thirty kilometers south of Bastia on the eastern coast directly by the sea. A bit worn-out, but the sanitary facilities are clean, the site quite empty, and we can see and hear the sea.
