08.02.18 - 10.02.18: Kloten ZRH - Dubai DXB - Auckland AKL
We were welcomed by a snowy landscape early in the morning. It can be considered as a farewell gift when going to summer :o). Shortly afterwards we were picked up by Mr. Müller.
This time we were able to have lunch in the lounge and observe the activities outside.
Came straight from the kitchen So we're ready for takeoff: Although it's smaller than last time, but much bigger than when flying to the Seychelles. No matter what small, but fine differences we noticed compared to First Class, it's complaining at a high level. What was a little crazy is that we were served another lunch just after two hours in the air. Not that it was bad, but too much. Well, you can always eat (antipasti, salmon, sirloin steak and Swiss chocolate cake). After six hours of flight, we visited all the Business Class lounges in Gates A / B & C in Dubai. We were probably in Gate A last time, very similar, but unfortunately no served Best of Rösti and pancakes... after a shower, we only had to endure about 10 more hours. We tried to sleep, but it didn't go very well. There's always someone snoring oO. Spa... First we had breakfast and then went on the plane to Auckland. This time we chose the right aircraft, nonstop to Auckland and not stopping at those Aussies again. But we were stuffed there as well. No one can eat that much, but paid, eaten :). So how do you kill 16 hours? 1. Watch movies ICE ICE ICE ICE (Information, Communication, Entertainment) 2. Eat Sirloin Steak 3. Drink Business Class Bar 4. Sleep Deep Sleep 5. Eat... what else. After landing, first a SIM card, baggage check, watch two Beagles sniffing around (they had a mini police vest) and to the camper rental company. It worked out pretty well, except that we got exactly what we didn't want: No self-contained camper. Well, we still have too much Swissness. Let's do it like Crocodile Dundee said three years ago: Fu.. the Government. First we stocked up on all the necessary things (luckily we found a Pack and Safe again) and now we're at the first campsite Lake Weikato, of course free of charge. New Zealand style :o). Now we're going to cook first and then sleep. See ya. Our Campervan 'Apollo Hitop'
