This morning we set off for Colmar. We cycled quickly out of Strasbourg. We admired the houseboats along the canal. The avenue trees provided us with shade. However, the straight stretch along the canal became a bit monotonous over time. The 80 km to Colmar felt quite long. Just as we arrived at the hotel, it started to rain, and a thunderstorm rolled in. We didn't mind; it was a good opportunity to rest a bit. The bad weather quickly gave way to sunshine, and we cycled into the city. The old town with the tanner's district and 'Petite Venise' = little Venice is like something out of a picture book. We were so captivated by this wonderful cityscape.
