Alsace by E-Bike and Train

Last night, after cycling 70 km and spending several hours on the train, Margit and I arrived safely in Strasbourg. After an unintentional city tour by bike, 'because I entered the wrong address in Komoot', we finally found the right hotel, Mercure Centre. The intense heat, especially in the city, was a bit challenging for us. After a good dinner and some cool drinks, we revived our spirits. This morning, right after breakfast, we cycled straight to the European Parliament. Finding the right hotel for our self-guided trip in 2027 proved to be a bit cumbersome. The cathedral and a visit to the French quarter 'Petit France' are truly special. We explored the new town aboard a little tourist train. In the evening, we had a boat tour of the city on the agenda. The ride through the canals with the locks thrilled us.
