Today, we're heading to Nordkapp, Skarsvåg, and Kamøyvær, two small fishing villages, under beautiful weather.

The Nordkapp (Norwegian Nordkapp) is a headland that extends into the Arctic Ocean on the northern side of the Norwegian island Magerøya. It is located in the municipality named after it Nordkapp at 71° 10′ 21″ northern latitude, 514 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle, and about 2100 kilometers south of the North Pole. A priest from Ravenna in Italy is said to have been the first tourist at Nordkapp in 1664. He wanted to find out how people could survive so far north. He traveled alone and documented his experiences. The French prince Louis Philippe I. reached Nordkapp in 1795 while fleeing the French Revolution. On the night of July 18-19, 1799, travelers Giuseppe Acerbi and Anders Fredrik Skjöldebrand reached Nordkapp. Both published travel accounts. King Oscar II. visited Nordkapp in 1873, commemorated by the Oscar column.
