This morning we reach the charming city of Stavanger, a city with many colorful houses, next to a beautifully preserved old town. Gamle Stavanger consists of 173 wooden houses that were built at the end of the 18th and beginning of the 19th century. The houses are inhabited, small and white, protected and under special monument protection. Some of the houses were originally located in a different place. The houses are made of wood, which makes them easy to dismantle and move. In the past, it was common to take one's own house when moving. Some houses have dormer windows that were built later to expand the living space. The city of Stavanger is considered the center of Norway's oil and gas industry. We were able to see an oil rig platform on the way to Stavanger from the ship.
