Bergen, Norway (June 17)

Early in the morning, we sailed into Bergen, our first port of call on this cruise. The weather was classic Norwegian: overcast, a rather brisk 14°C, but at least dry — for the moment!

For our shore excursion, we hopped aboard a small electric bus for a two-hour tour of Bergen and managed to see quite a lot. We were lucky to have an excellent tour guide who kept us entertained with fascinating stories, local history, and plenty of interesting facts. By the end of the tour, we felt like we knew Bergen a whole lot better — and we had even managed to avoid the rain! 😄🚢🌦️

And of course, when we returned to our cabin, a new little friend was waiting for us on the bed. We’re starting to suspect the towels are reproducing when we’re not looking! 😄🐘🐒🦢***********************************
