The time has come! Our first cruise is approaching. We are truly excited. In recent years, undertaking these trips has become very popular. Now we are joining in.
We have chosen a cruise with AIDA on the AIDAnova to Norway. The choice of AIDA was somewhat random/pragmatic, and there was no particular preference. The tour is simply being offered😅. Norway 🇳🇴 has long been on our list. Since this is our first cruise, we decided on this 7-day tour as a compromise between a short and a long trip. After all, we want to see and experience something. There are 4 stops planned: Bergen, Ålesund, Flåm, and Stavanger. The departure point is Kiel. The ship was launched in 2019 and can accommodate about 5,000 to 6,000 tourists and several thousand crew members. The captain has been Jörg Militzka from Dresden for about 6 weeks. We booked a cabin with a balcony (Deck 9).
The journey to Kiel went
mainly very well. We booked a parking spot a bit outside the city of Kiel and were shuttled to the dock. Once there, thousands had to go through security checks - just like at the airport 😅.
We made it and boarded the ship. The cabin is really pleasant. Everything is clean and looks modern. We have relatively ample storage space for our clothes. The weather in Kiel was beautifully summery. The sun was shining down on us as we set sail. It was pretty cool when the departure music played and the captain
