Yesterday morning (29.08), we started loading the bus by 7:30, so most had breakfast very early and finished packing their bags. Before we left around 8 o'clock, we sang a birthday song for Linus and Luca, who turned 19 and 20. We took the buses to Belo Horizonte-Confins Airport, where we had to say goodbye to our previous bus drivers.
Around 11 o'clock, we took off towards Salvador, where we had about half an hour for a layover, before we flew to João Pessoa with the second flight around 2 PM. Upon arrival, we met our new buses, which took us to our next hotel, the Pousada Aruana. Many first checked into their rooms to rest a bit after the long journey, while some jumped straight into the pool or walked to the sea, and gradually a large part of the group gathered at the pizzeria across the street. We ended the evening in a relaxed manner.
On our break day today, Thomas celebrated his 65th birthday, and we surprised him with a birthday cake and a song at breakfast, which made him very happy. The rest of the day was free, and we had great opportunities to relax at the large pool area and by the sea. In the evening, we all met for dinner at the pizzeria and ended the day in the pool or playing cards.
