Guanabo - one last time at the beach

The last days of our trip to Cuba have begun and we are enjoying the incredible beaches of Cuba one last time. Guanabo is located between Varadero and Havana and is known as the vacation spot for locals. The place is manageable and we quickly feel comfortable here. The plan was to visit a hostel in Havana recommended by our hostel mom, which was affordable and even had a pool right on the beach. We directed our taxi driver to this hostel and were shocked to find that our reservation hadn't worked. We had booked the hostel through three different hostel moms, and it seems that a small mistake had occurred. We should have confirmed the date again to make sure everything was safe. Unfortunately, a group of Germans from Munich had just checked in before us, and we quickly became friends with them and were planning to meet again in Havana. Nevertheless, the hostel mom at that house was so friendly and nice that she was able to find us a good alternative and invited us to have breakfast there and use the pool for free. The hostel we moved to is only one block away and has a large terrace and an even more beautiful rooftop terrace with a view of the sea. We are happy with the choice and enjoy the kilometer-long beach of Santa Maria and the good food here once more. Fully relaxed, we leave Guanabo after another two nights and go back to the capital city of the island for the last few days.

The last days have arrived and we are looking forward to going home more and more!
