Havana is definitely more than just rum 🥃

For our stay in Havana, we consciously chose a "Casa Particular." This means living at home with a Cuban family. We spent the first days with Olga and her incredibly loving family along with their dog Bruno 🐶. We were welcomed so warmly. They gave us tips, helped us communicate anytime, exchanged our money so we wouldn't get ripped off, and sweetened our stay with little gifts 🥰

The first day began with us cruising through Havana in a vintage car. Rodrigo showed us the most significant sights and the prettiest corners of Havana during a one-hour ride, and finally brought us to the Capitol from where we could explore the city center on foot. Old Havana is loud, dirty, but surrounded by incredibly nice and warm-hearted people. And even though there's a lot of hustle and bustle, we found everything very interesting and impressive. However, to be honest, we were really exhausted because we were approached every five minutes (regarding recommendations for cafes, restaurants, vintage car tours, other sightseeing tours, ...) and with nearly 30 degrees, we eventually lost the energy to interact with the locals every few meters again 😄. In the evening, we had a delicious meal at a charming restaurant very close to our accommodation—where Magge ordered pizza Hawaii for the first time in his life 😂

The next day, we spent time on the terrace of our accommodation, with Magge in bed because he wasn't feeling well. At least I had time to learn some Spanish, solve Sudoku puzzles, and chill in the sun 😎. Thankfully, he felt better by late afternoon, allowing us to finally head into the city ☺️

Today, we continued our journey towards Viñales, where we arrived well after a 3-hour bumpy car ride (the roads are not the best 😄).
