Niagara Falls, Cleveland & Activities in and around Pittsburgh

The last three weeks have flown by here in Pittsburgh. Shortly after our last blog post that you could read, it was time again for us to welcome visitors from Germany. After Mirko and Louis spent the first part of their vacation in New York City, the two flew to us for the second part. This time, fortunately, everything went smoothly with the flights, and the joy of reunion was immense. Before we set off on our weekend trip, we first took a stadium tour of the Acrisure Stadium, the football stadium of the Pittsburgh Steelers. As we had only seen the stadium from the spectator seats before, it was very interesting to gain more insight behind the scenes.

After that, we set off and spent a very pleasant weekend at Niagara Falls and in Cleveland. The Niagara Falls looked different than the last time we were there, as this time there was partly an 'ice wall' in front of the falls. Very impressive. You will see it in the photos. After visiting the Niagara Falls, we drove towards Cleveland and made a stop at a shopping outlet. On Sunday, we strolled a bit through Cleveland to watch the basketball game Cleveland Cavaliers vs. LA Lakers in the afternoon. After the game, we returned to Pittsburgh. On Monday, our last day together, we used to stroll a bit through Pittsburgh. In the evening, it was already time to say goodbye, as Mirko and Louis had the long journey home that evening. Thank you very much for your visit. We were very pleased and had a great time with you!

The next one and a half weeks until today were spent again in Pittsburgh. We attended a baseball game with friends, had several gatherings for barbecues, and went to see alpacas and the farm. I also had my half marathon last weekend, for which, fortunately, the weather cooperated this time, allowing me to run it without getting wet and set a new personal best.

Tonight, we are finally going on vacation again. First, we will fly to San Francisco today. There we will meet Sven and Chiara (my brother & his girlfriend). With them, we will embark on a one and a half week road trip through California. After that, we will continue to Miami, where we will meet Sveni, Sarah, Fabi & Lia to explore Florida for a week. As you can surely imagine, we are extremely excited about the vacation and are curious about all the experiences we will have during this time!
