We don't actually have a job and reach the only 80 km away Honfleur around 2.30 p.m. Right next to the city there is a campsite that is really great... however, we get a pitch right on the slope, where stonefall is indicated... mmmhhhh.... and we are immediately informed that the lawns are very wet... they should become even more wet during the day. Jörn goes with the dog and I read a bit before we want to go to town. After the duo is back, we should actually start, but then... what do you think... it's raining cats and dogs...! We wait and then decide to set off an hour later, despite the rain. We walk through a really beautiful town, an artist's town with one gallery next to the next, great houses and a fine flair. We treat ourselves to our first Moules Frites in the harbor and don't care about the rain. Afterwards it is dry and we stroll comfortably back to the bus.
In the evening we decide to take another round through the illuminated city, after all it is less than 10 minutes from the pitch to the harbor. Really worth a visit, this beautiful Honfleur! If you are in the area... you should stop by... the place is also great and cheap!
The bus is starting to look almost forbidden... you won't get far with a vacuum cleaner either, little duck! Everything is wet and muddy... eww!... maybe a wet-dry vacuum cleaner will help...!
Nevertheless, we go to bed satisfied and dream crazy stuff in the Schmörmelsbus!
