11. 12. Palliser Bay, right at the southern end of the island, what a fantastic place. Dreamlike scenery, far away from everything by the sea. There was plenty to admire, sea lions on the beach, Micha got really close. A lighthouse with a long staircase up. A hike to a gorge with eroded rock formations. Sheep and cows on endless meadows, New Zealand at its most beautiful. We enjoyed it.
