We admired the boiling earth at the Wai-O-TaPu Wonderland. It bubbles and boils everywhere. The lichens on the trees are orange.
In the evening and at night, we enjoyed ourselves at the Waikite Thermal Pool. It's really wonderful. Hot water shoots out of a spring at 98°C. It is cooled down to 38°C and directed into pools. You can lie in it and relax. Everything is outside, with a view of the beautiful nature. There is also a small campsite, and in the morning we went straight back to the big bathtub.
The New Zealanders truly envy these hot pools. The warm water simply comes from the earth. Micha is already thinking about how to achieve this in our garden.
