A relaxing day with a long evening stroll in Chiang Mai

After the arrival day in Chiang Mai included a longer city tour with several sights featuring many temples, I started the first full day a bit more quietly. I spent a lot of time first at a bakery enjoying a delicious breakfast and coffee, then at the hotel and at the pool planning the upcoming weeks of travel, selecting locations and time frames for my stay, booking travel arrangements and accommodations. Additionally, I organized two day trips for the next two days. It quickly took up a few hours. But this was consciously part of the planned spontaneity, although I am quite bound by the current bookings until February 18th...

By the afternoon, many arrangements were made, and it was time to fill up the step counter and head out to explore again. So, I wandered through the neighboring and more distant streets, discovered a few small temples again, went to the street food market where I tried some dishes—taking the upcoming longer bus tour into consideration—and listened to the local live music from the solo performer who traversed various music genres... After satisfying my hunger, I headed to the Hard Rock Café, where a biker gang with their roaring motorcycles rolled in simultaneously... All decked out in vests and patches... Amidst the peaceful bikers, I detected a familiar language (at least partially familiar). Among the bikers were members of a Swiss chapter. While enjoying a delicious Singa draft beer, there was live music to be heard here as well, and I must admit it was a bit more to my taste than at the street food market... After that, I continued to wander through the encroaching night, simply following the sea of lights through the streets and little alleys...
