Monday morning it was time to say goodbye to Australia. We had to go to the airport very early to catch our flight at 8am to Christchurch. After a pleasant 3-hour flight, we arrived, everything went smoothly. We took the shuttle bus to the car rental and picked up our camper. Buying some food, parking with the giant thing was initially a challenge. On our first night in the camper, we almost froze because we didn't expect it to get so cold at night here. Of course, we also didn't have that many thick clothes with us.
The next day we explored the city a bit and waited for our friend to arrive at the airport, who is traveling with us through New Zealand.
We even went to the car rental to get a small heater, but we had to realize that it only works when our car is connected to the power, which we don't have every day.
Today we drove towards Dunedin. Before that, we stopped at Moeraki Boulders Beach. There were round stones washed up everywhere on the beach. Then we drove into the city and looked around a bit.
