Since there were only two Swedish girls in my hostel room who were already traveling together, I decided to explore Gothenburg on my own that day.
In the morning, I went to the natural history museum, which was very close to the hostel, and looked at the many stuffed animals and explanations there, some of which were really interesting. I found the evolution of whales and the young blue whale, which was exhibited together with the lower jaw of an adult whale, particularly exciting.
Afterwards, I walked to the Haha neighborhood, which is famous for its beautiful cafes. I looked around a bit and grabbed lunch at Burger King. Then I bought a tram ticket and went to downtown, where I walked through the shopping street and visited a few stores.
For dinner, I chatted with a few other people who were also in Gothenburg on the Hostelworld app. Together, we went to a bar in Haga, talked, and then went on the search for a place to eat. In the end, we walked for over half an hour only to find an Indian restaurant near the hostel. We had a good conversation and after dinner, I went back to the hostel because traveling can be quite exhausting.
