Saumur - Savonnières

Today we are heading to Savonnières on the Cher. This teaches us that not only old American beauty icons have that name. Breakfast today will be in the city.

During our lunch break, six Brits arrive in three vintage cars and also take a break from their exhausting drive.

For one of them, it was probably a special challenge to drive the vehicle only at the permitted maximum speed.

For dinner, we had a Chenin-Chardonnay, a wine that is mainly grown and produced in this area. We could chill the bottle in the refrigerator provided for campers.

In the second round, my Maria said: 'This isn't a Chenin-Chardonnay, this is a pure Chardonnay!'
