Yoga and co

It's 9:30 and I'm slowly waking up, the girls are too. Laura messages us, saying she's at the amazing cafe we saw last night and enjoying her breakfast.

Karo and I join her, order the same thing as Laura, and we're blown away. Pancakes with peanut butter, apple, banana, and nuts. A real power breakfast.

Hours go by, we sit, eat, and chat. Laura and I consider riding scooters here and decide to ask about availability at a rental.

The woman and the man are honest: don't do it. I tell her that I have little experience... her husband says that the worst drivers (Greeks and Italians on the road) are a guarantee for accidents. I should drive with what I feel comfortable with: a car. Okay; it will stay with the car.

We drive to Pontikonesi, I want to show the girls the beautiful monastery and the great viewpoint for plane spotting. We also end up at the beach and enjoy the peaceful hustle and bustle.

At 7 o'clock we set off for Pelekas. Laura says: "Man, parts of Corfu remind me of Thailand" 😊

At the same meeting point as a year ago, I see Sean and Eva waiting for us in their car, we follow them (the roads haven't gotten any wider).

I'm happy about the warm embrace, the joy of reunion is great. Bailey and Simba, two four-legged friends, are also there 😊.

The yoga class at sunset couldn't be more relaxing, yet the sun makes us sweat. Karo is sweating too - but probably because a stranger's dog has joined us. She doesn't like dogs that much, but he's happy to be with us. 😂 She'll get through it! I love this place, no one around and the view of the water below us is indescribable.

Time flies by, the session is over, and I help Sean and Eva set up the little evening picnic while Karo and Laura go for a swim. We get into a conversation, I learn about how the government in Corfu dealt with Covid.

So every time you left the house, you had to send a message to a central place with a number from 1 to 6, indicating the reason for going out. For example, 1 would be for shopping.

If you were caught leaving the house without a message, there was a fine of €300.

We enjoy the wine and food and philosophize about God and the world - and how many times a person's DNA can go around the Earth.

It's getting later, Eva and I sit in Ant Street, time to leave.

I promise to get in touch again on my next visit to Corfu.
