Cooking, drinking, enjoying
Oh man, the alarm clock is ringing too early again, but we can't dawdle. Thousands of yoga enthusiasts are waiting for us at the beach to be taught 😂 or at least one person....

What are we doing on our last day? Originally, we were planning to go to Arillas and Afionas, but it's too late in the morning to drive, and I'm really exhausted from yesterday and don't want to spend hours in the car again.
But Karo has a brilliant idea - let's go to the hidden yoga spot and spend a day at the beach, there probably won't be many people there.
Should she be right? Yes, she should.
After a final breakfast at the best pancake maker in the world, we, the 4 girls, set off.
The slope is truly dangerous to walk, we're glad when we arrive. It's luxurious. The water and its colors are a dream, there are maybe 10 other people at the nude beach. Seems like it's meant for men, all the naked people are men 😂.
We start a conversation in the water and we're handed mud, which is supposed to be great for the skin 😊.
With mud, without mud, with beer, water, grapes, and bread, we spend the day in the sand or lying in the water.
The last day couldn't be more beautiful.
Except when I'm alone in the water and a man behind the rock, not far from me, asks if I want to join him. Sure... sure, I'll sit next to an old naked man behind a rock! Can you believe it?
But he'll try again, in just a few minutes.
Karo really wants to do yoga, Laura is coaching her while Jo and I watch. The light, the mountains, the water, the tranquility, it's hard to describe. This idyll in Corfu (which is supposed to be almost as crowded this year as in 2019 before Corona) is truly unique...
And it's briefly interrupted by the naked rock sitter, because he walks - now dressed - past Jo and me to leave the beach. But not without asking, "Are you coming with?"
The girls are beside themselves - what is this dude thinking?!
Anyway.
We go to a taverna and end the trip with a final big meal.
Melancholic, hardly any words are exchanged, we drive back home.
Jo and Laura stay for about another week, for me, that's it, almost 3 weeks in Corfu are over.
I love it here, I love it so much. Karo finds it hard to leave too.
Laura feels inspired to use her yoga training and possibly create a concept to offer yoga.
I think it's great. Almost as great as the thought of coming back soon. And in general, to travel slowly. To spend the summer on an island or in a country and really settle there. Occasionally welcoming friends/family from Germany and getting to know the country and its people.
Corfu is not perfect, it's wonderfully unconventional, not perfectly styled, chaotic... but that's why it's my European love♥️
