🌆 🛥 🥵
We leave Agios Giorges. Before enjoying the morning swim, we realize that the water today is extremely wild and damn invading. When trying to go in, various stones hit our feet...

Today, today we relax. Even before breakfast, we go to the water, I go in slowly, standing in the water, looking at the sea and get bitten. Ouch, these fish (and ouch damn sunburn!)
And again... I've had enough. They leave Petra alone, whether the attack was a racist act or not.
I don't know, let's have breakfast first.
But first, on behalf of Petra, I ask a lady on the beach where she got her great dress from. She tells me she bought it in Italy. And it's so beautiful, because she says: Unfortunately I only have one, otherwise I would have given it to you.
♥️😊.
We decide to take the bus to the south and get off in Mesonghi.
Oh man, great water - it becomes Petra's favorite water - but one hotel after another. I don't like it, but the fact that each of us finds a great dress (it has to be light and loose for this heat) compensates 😊.
We end the evening at the Flower Garden, a great Chinese restaurant in our hometown Benitses.
The waitress recognizes me and the three of us chat about the effects of Covid on Corfu and when is the best time to winterize your apartment.
In the evening, I would love to play "Lunabingo". We really have to chuckle at how often our local neighbor, a very old lady, says the name Luna. She loves her dog, you can tell. If only we had a few short ones.
The next day starts with the obligatory visit to Grandpa Dimitri and biting fish, but now Petra's leg is also a victim of their desires.
Today we are going to Corfu Town. A beauty - a hot and full beauty.
Walking from the harbor into the city, we decide that it's too hot for the old fortress, the sweat is pouring out of us. It draws us into the shade, into Kerkira's shade, into the beautiful alleys. Unfortunately, we quickly realize that Corfu's shops match our taste exactly, some things are bought, others not - the suitcases are limited. There is only room for Radler in the belly 😊.
Despite the heat, we decide to go to the old fortress in the late afternoon. It's (again) impressive. Safety precautions are rather scarce. The construction of the old fortress began in the 16th century by the Venetians, who at that time ruled Corfu. Today, only the outer walls testify to this - the buildings inside were largely built by the British who ruled in the 19th century.
We end the day with Asian food and toast to our time together 😊
