Hellooo,
We haven't been in touch for a while because.....
...well. I don't know π±π€₯
Actually, we wanted to rent a scooter and cruise around Krabi on our last day.
Yeah, unfortunately, we both didn't feel like being around people, so we spent the whole day eating, etc. Nothing else π
This is what Lara looks like after being bitten by unknown creatures in the water π€π€¦π½ββοΈ
Yesterday morning we continued on to Surat Thani. Someone brought us to the bus station, and that's where all the chaos started.
We had a minivan. 12 people + driver + luggage.
This thing was so overloaded. Jasna had the front seat next to the driver, Lara was squeezed in the back between two Czechs and suitcases (at least the two were extremely funny).
Since the van was probably only approved for the weight of the people and not for the luggage, it was quite a roller coaster ride in the back.
If Lara didn't hit her head on the suitcase, she hit her neighbor's head - and vice versa π with every bump in the road (which is almost non-existent in Thailand because of the amazingly well-built roads), the back of the car would touch the ground.
Furthermore, the driver was really pissed off and in a bad mood. He even stopped at 7 Eleven and started drinking from a flask in the back. In front of everyone on the busπ€¦π½ββοΈ According to Jasna, his driving behavior matched his mood.
So once again, we had some survival fears in this car π
But we arrived safely and had to stress about getting our luggage. After 10 minutes, we finally got it and eventually made it to the hotel.
The owners here are a young couple and just adorable. Really sweet.
We went out to explore the city and have something to eat, and in the evening, we went to the night market. And once again, we tried everything from all the stalls (except for animals with eyes).
In Surat Thani, there isn't much to see because the city is mainly a transit hub for all the islands (Koh Samui, Phangan, and Tao).
Tonight, we went to the park for sunset and visited the "Pillar Shrine". And of course, we went to the night market again π
