The route continued through the Cape Breton Highlands National Park with plenty of curves and incredible views. The destination was Dingwall Beach. Wide, empty, windy, and almost deserted. Unfortunately, camping was not allowed there, so it remained just a longer stop.
After a walk on the beach, there was the classic travel ritual: coffee from the van, snack in hand, power nap with the window half open and the soothing sound of the sea.
Just before leaving, my boyfriend wanted to head to the toilet one more time. Two foxes apparently saw their chance and decided to follow him. Why? No idea. He was certainly back at the van faster than I could even process the scene with my laughter.
Bears, moose, raccoons? Still not in sight.
But foxes at the little toilet? Check.
