Koh Phayam

Published: 14.11.2016

From Fri to Sun, Nov 11-13, 2016

Today we took a speedboat from Koh Chang to the neighboring island of Koh Phayam. Koh Phayam is much busier with tourism, so it's a perfect weekend getaway. Even though we've been on a weekend for 2 weeks πŸ˜‰ NEVER MIND!

First thing we did was rent a scooter and zoomed around the island to find a nice resort for ourselves. And we succeeded πŸ˜‰ But one thing is for sure after this trip: I will never complain about potholes on Germany's roads again. The 'roads' on the island are unbelievable πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Just like there are potholes in the streets in Germany, here there is a bit of road in the potholes πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‰ But that's normal with the possibilities here on the island πŸ˜‰ We survived it too 😁

Bathing in the sea here is sensational. There are some really high waves Non Stop that are really fun. We also found a great place to watch the sunset, see photos.

Of course, there was also a temple to visit here. It's like in Bavaria... No matter how small the village is, there must be a church πŸ˜‰ and here it's the temples, but each one is different πŸ‘

There are really cool cocktail bars here, but one is a work of art. The so-called Hippie Bar took 10 years to finally be finished. Since we were there in the evening and it was already dark, we unfortunately couldn't take any decent photos. But we're not fools and obtained a few pictures from the internet so you can get an idea πŸ˜‰

In any case, we've been back on Koh Chang since Sunday and on Wednesday we're going to the Khao Sok National Park, about 250 km away, where we'll finally go on our jungle safari tour, since Laos didn't work out πŸ˜†

We'll keep you updated... sometimes earlier, but sometimes later 😎
