Koh Chang

Published: 06.11.2016

Fr.-So., 04.11.-06.11.2016

After a 10-hour bus ride along the Gulf of Thailand coast, we arrived in Ranong on Friday morning at 6:30 am. At 8:30 am, we took a boat to the island of Koh Chang. The first day was all about catching up on sleep (difficult to sleep on the bus when everything is so new 😉). On Saturday, it was pure relaxation. Good food, swimming in the sea, and enjoying paradise. Koh Chang is not a big tourist island, and that's what makes it great. And for the 'few' tourists who arrive here, there are plenty of bungalows available in the resorts. Since the holiday season on Koh Chang has just started, we are the first guests at our resort, which is called Paradise Resort. We were lucky not to have arrived two days earlier, as our host family only opened the resort on Thursday and spent the time before that in the fishing town of Ranong. But everything turned out fine. Today, on Sunday, we walked along the right side of our beach and also explored a bit of the jungle. It's amazing to meet local people who run one resort after another. Everything is taken care of, great food and even Wi-Fi 😆 There is also a small temple complex on Kho Chang where monks are still staying. Since it's like paradise here and we can relax wonderfully, we will stay for an additional 2-3 days and likely start our journey to Laos on Wednesday or Thursday. But I'll keep you updated, and until then, we'll continue to enjoy ourselves 😊 P.S.: If you feel like it, do what Flo did and sign up on Vakantio.de and press Like on our page🖒 Maybe we'll become famous travel guides 😉
