Stage 20: Haguenau - Haguenau

With 31 km, it should have been a fairly normal stage, but the worst was yet to come. We had booked in Mundolsheim and stopped following the emails from Booking.com. And so, after scorching heat, at around 5 pm we found ourselves in front of closed doors due to overbooking. Despite this, our hostess-to-be came after a phone call and made endless phone calls to find a solution for us. The solution was: to take a train back to Haguenau at 7 pm and check into another hotel. We then grabbed a bite to eat before experiencing Easter Vigil briefly.
