Leticia - San Gil

Today was all about the journey. At 09:00 we took the flight from Leticia, leaving the rainforest behind and flying directly to Bucaramanga after a stopover in Bogota. From there, an Uber to the bus terminal and off we went on a wild ride to San Gil, an outdoor and activity paradise. Even without any activities on that day, we could already experience an adventure with the drive. The view of the mountains was picturesque, but the highlight was undoubtedly the driving style of our bus driver. Uphill, passing three trucks quickly - no problem. Thanks to that, we were able to shorten the travel time by 30 minutes and arrived safely in the end. It also seems normal that smaller buses are the fastest road users here. Upon arriving in San Gil, we immediately booked a rafting tour for the next day and explored the city a bit, enjoying a meal at a very charming European restaurant.
