It is rare for two students in a class to celebrate their birthdays at the same time - for them to celebrate their birthdays simultaneously AND during the class camp is a 'once in a lifetime' event. Even Petrus seemed to think so, as he gifted us brilliant weather today, although he had to wait long for his surprise. Class 157a showed their sleepy side after yesterday's hike in the national park and the short night in the lodge. Breakfast was record-late today, leaving barely enough time before lunch to fulfill the wish of the lodge keeper - to stack the split wood in the winter storage.
In the beautiful Engadin autumn sun, we grilled sausages and ate outside before we took a walk to Pontresina. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the fun at the rope park and the pizza to celebrate the day. Even the ascent to the hut Cristolais in the moonlight was nicer and shorter than usual today. Everyone actually wanted to go to bed early tonight because we need to get up early tomorrow to clean the hut. But at the moment, no one is tired. Luckily, we are only heard by the foxes and squirrels here.....
