Day 5 - Last Day in Engadin

It has flown by, this introductory week. We have laughed, talked, cooked, and eaten together. We have hiked, gotten to know the Upper Engadin (well, a little), experienced adventures (!), seen many animals in the national park - and we've shared the house with a dormouse. Today was our last day in Cristolais and we really made the most of it. 'Breakfast at 7:00' was announced by the race management. By then, all the luggage had to be out the door. Most were awake at the latest when bringing out bags and backpacks. It was icy cold in Cristolais. While cleaning the cabin, everyone showed their best side despite the leaden fatigue. We even finished earlier than planned (which some rightly felt was a 'sleep thief').
We spent a week in close quarters together. There was practically always a good atmosphere, and everyone was friendly, upbeat, and funny. The challenges of living together in close quarters were managed well by everyone, sometimes with humor, sometimes with patience, or also by setting boundaries.
We mastered the baptism of fire. Dear 157a, you are 'la cana e mez'. Have a great vacation and see you soon in Unterstrass!
