This morning we were greeted by beautiful sunshine a little after 7. Although Adam would have preferred to sleep longer, his big brother chose to wake up.
After breakfast, we hopped on our bikes while the boys got in the trailer, and we headed towards the small fishing village called Vitt. Yesterday we walked in that direction and in the afternoon we visited the neighboring Kap Arkona.
We arrived there after a good 7 km. Along the way, we saw several farms offering lovely holiday apartments with a direct view of the sea. There were also ponies grazing nearby in some places.
Adam fell asleep quickly on the bumpy road, but poor thing didn't get to rest for long. Ben was in a singing mood and wanted to entertain his little brother. 🙈🙄
The fishing village itself is a very charming place, although now it consists mostly of restaurants and cafes. We headed to the beach. Shoes off, and off to the warm sand.
We tried to put Adam back to sleep in the trailer with little success. So he came to the beach too.
We couldn't stay for long as we wanted to have lunch back at the campsite. Although we could have easily spent a whole day there.
Afternoon nap was a bit difficult because it was too hot in the trailer. But it was worth it to charge up for the afternoon activity: Dinosaurierland Rügen. Ben had been looking forward to seeing the dinosaurs for days.
We walked through the park, using a balance bike and a stroller to go from one dinosaur to another. The park is quite large, but there are shaded areas in many places, so we were able to have a little picnic.
Afterwards, our usual evening routine: dinner, splashing around, and bedtime. Adam simply refused to sleep, constantly climbing up and down the bed like a chubby little monster. 😂 It was funny...
