After a day at sea, we arrive today in Zadar on the Dalmatian coast. Known for its Roman and Venetian ruins.
Even from the ship, we catch a glimpse of the city. We want to take a public bus to the old town. However, there was disappointment at the bus stop. Somehow, the bus to the old town doesn't run regularly. So we decide to take a taxi. 10€ to the gate of the old town.
Since this is our first stay in Zadar, we only want to stroll through the old town. Definitely need to check out the famous sea organ and walk back to the ship.
The walk back started beautifully along the promenade and coast, but the rest, especially through the harbor area, became monotonous and uncomfortable due to the heat and lack of shade. Next time, we'll definitely take a taxi or bus back to the ship.
