Mein Schiff 1 is docked today at berth E.

In addition to the paid shuttle service offered by the shipping company, the port operator also provides a free service. At the exit of berth E, follow the green markings on the ground for about 800m. The bus departs from around 9 am every 35 minutes to the port exit. There are shaded seats available during the wait. The bus then travels to the Joliette port exit. From there, it's about 900m to the Cathedral of Marseille and another kilometer to the end of the harbor basin. Along this route, you will also find ticket sales points for hop-on hop-off buses and tourist trains.
The ticket sales points for the ferry to the island are located on the right and left at the end of the harbor basin.
The ticket costs €11.10 per person. We take the Chevalier Paul ferry at 10:20 am. After a short crossing, we arrive at the dock of the prison island. Here, one should definitely take a look at the signs regarding the return trip. We climb the stairs and come to the ticket sales. The entrance fee is €7 per person.
Back in Marseille, we take a stroll through the city and then head to the cathedral. From here, we return to the harbor and the free shuttle.
