Luxor - Cairo - Frankfurt

The night is very short again. Wake-up call at 3:15 AM and there is breakfast. I thought there would only be Nescafé, tea, and cake like during the trip to Abu Simbel. But no, there was a full breakfast, even an omelet was made for us.

As announced the evening before, a different tour guide was supposed to accompany us to the airport today and assist us with check-in. Disappointment in the morning at 4:15 AM, we pick up the tour guide somewhere in the city and he speaks neither German nor English. Okay, we can manage on our own. It wasn't difficult at the small airport in Luxor.

Now in Cairo, the guide from the first day, Mr. Walid, was supposed to meet us and guide us from the domestic terminal to the international terminal. He apparently didn't feel like getting up early. So we had to follow the signs instead. Exit form filled out, passed through security, and eventually arrived at the gate. Anyone familiar with Frankfurt am Main knows how to get through anywhere.

We are back home. It was a great trip. However, there were also a few points that did not correspond to the tour operator's description. We are still in contact with them about this. More details once everything is settled at this point.

Unpacking luggage, doing laundry, all the things that come after a trip, as the next trip is already approaching.

I'm still practicing with this blog. It doesn't always turn out as I want it to.
