Penultimate stop in Colombia: Cartagena

Almost no traveler to Colombia can skip this city. Cartagena is considered the most beautiful in Colombia. It is located on the Caribbean, which is noticeable in the temperatures. It is unbearably hot here again.

Cartagena has been repeatedly destroyed by pirate attacks until the Spaniards began to build a fortress in the city. And it is precisely for this historic part of the city that Cartagena is famous today. You can stroll through the narrow streets for hours and browse small shops. The balconies adorned with flowers are particularly beautiful. I spent a whole three days walking here and found great photo motifs again and again.

On December 23rd, I went out with 3 really nice Germans and we enjoyed the lively nightlife of the city. Tables and chairs were set up everywhere and very good cocktails were served. Therefore, December 24th was a bit quieter (maybe the headaches also kept me at home;))
