A day at the Xcaret amusement park

Due to the wind, it was too cold to swim, so we spent a day at the Xcaret amusement park. The proud admission fee of $99 per person, equivalent to approximately €80, includes Mayan ruins, a dolphin show, aquariums, and many water activities. We walked around the grounds all day and still didn't see everything. It felt a bit like seeing Mexico in fast forward. You can visit Mayan ruins and a reconstructed hacienda, watch traditional performances, and enjoy numerous delicacies. The finale was a 2-hour show featuring typical Mexican dances and songs. For some package tourists, a day excursion into Mexican culture may be quite interesting, but we prefer to travel through the country ourselves and truly experience the culture.
