Trogir

We decided against rafting and are starting the day leisurely. Today we're going to Trogir. I've been to this city before, 3 years ago, and found it stunning. In my heart, I hoped to find the jewelry store where I bought a very nice ring in 2017, which I lost shortly after. My memory doesn't deceive me, I find the shop immediately. They don't have THE ring anymore... but they have similar beautiful ones that will make my wallet burn. Overall, today's trip is also all about shopping. My aunt also finds a few things, but she's not pleased when the saleswoman becomes too pushy.

I also find something for myself, 2 dresses and finally a mug (I have a habit of bringing back mugs and/or bowls from all over the world), but I still go to the fortress and the cathedral of the city.

The Kamerlengo Fortress was built in the mid-15th century and once served to protect the city. Today, the courtyard of the fortress is used as an open-air cinema, and from above, you have a magnificent view of the city.

The Cathedral of Trogir was built in the 13th century. With its three ships, three semicircular apses, and its 47-meter high bell tower, it forms the heart of the city. To reach the bell tower, you have to climb some chicken ladders uphill. It's worth it, Trogir is so beautiful, even from above. And especially when no one else is up there, Trogir feels quite empty. And so the day and the vacation end... we drive home, pack our things, reminisce and look forward little to the long journey back tomorrow.

Croatia - less than 1.5 hours flight time and you're here. It's really worth traveling, exploring, enjoying, and admiring this country...
