Der erste (halbe) Tag
4.25 Uhr - aufstehen! Aber da gerade erst der zweite Ferientag ist, ist das noch kein Problemo. Mit meinem Handkoffer und einem Rucksack geht es zum Hauptbahnhof und mit dem Zug...

It's something you can do ... getting up at 5.30 am because the rhythm of the last few weeks just won't let go of the body (and because some roommates are already doing morning exercises on the terrace), but I turn around once more, after all, today should be an active day.
At half past 7 we first hike down the mountain to the store and the beach before breakfast!
We plan the day: We'll take the scooter to Omiš, where we want to inquire if we can still go zip-lining today. The uncle is happy; finally someone who can get excited about some sporting activities. I don't mention my fear of heights... the aunt does, because she says a resounding NO to zip-lining.
Well, at a very fast pace (for me, because I'm terrified) of 80km/h, we head to Omiš on a two-wheeled vehicle!
The mother finds scooter riding so great that she suddenly gets excited about it too and plays passenger with the uncle - in the parking lot. We are proud! And a little confused when she says: NO after the short ride and 10 km/h consistency. The two women are definitely clear!
We pass the time in Omiš, located at the mouth of the Cetina River.
In such a small area, you can visit a large number of cultural and historical sights (churches from the 10th-18th centuries, monuments, fortresses, museums, etc.). For those who prefer an active holiday, Omiš is the right destination - rafting on the Cetina River, free climbing, paragliding, diving, sailing, beach volleyball, tennis, etc.
The ancient Roman cities of Split and Salona are only half an hour's drive from Omiš, and the beautiful islands of Central Dalmatia are within reach. Significant cultural events include Omiš Cultural Summer, the Festival of Dalmatian Singing Groups (klape), pirate nights, and other festivals.
But now let's go to the event of the day. We take the bus together up the mountain, at a parking lot we receive the necessary equipment before heading to the practice station. We decide it's better to practice twice. After all, braking needs to be practiced! Afterwards, the ascent continues, eventually leading to the first 700m ZIP line. With 60-70 km/h and a lot of respect - you can also say scared as hell - we all ride down one after the other! I misinterpret the signs of the guides, so I brake too hard and get stuck right above the gorge. But guide Mirko picks me up😂 the next 7 lines are better, the views are unbeatable, especially over the river. We make friends with other guests from NRW and enjoy the time together😊!
