First destination of the day: Fairy Pools
Once we arrived there, we followed the watercourse for some time, hoping to reach the end. Although we didn't manage to do so due to time constraints, we still managed to take some beautiful pictures.
On our way to the next stop, we had to wait for a group of cows that were wandering on the road to be led back to the pasture by their owners. While other drivers saw this as a nuisance, our travel group enjoyed this little adorable interruption.
The next stop was the “Fairy Castle”. This big stone, almost like a small mountain, was surrounded by a beautiful landscape. However, to reach the top of the Fairy Castle, we had to climb some parts, but that didn't stop us. Upon reaching the top, we were greeted with a breathtaking view. The view over such a beautiful landscape from up there was simply stunning. However, it didn't come without its risks. The wind at the top was so strong that we were afraid of being blown away if we weren't careful.
Even when we made another little stop in between, the wind was still so strong.
On our way to the next stop, I finally managed to take a photo of a "street sheep" which occasionally block the road. But who can blame these cute creatures?
At the next stop, we had the opportunity to enjoy an amazing view. The waterfall and the coast that we could see there were simply beautiful.
In the evening, we had dinner with Jake and on the way back, the sun was setting. While we were comfortably on our way back to the accommodation, I tried “Irn Bru” for the first time, which is only available there. After we packed our things for the next day in the accommodation, we sat in our room with Jake until late in the evening, chatting. It was particularly funny when Jake tried to pronounce German words.
