After experiencing my host father's birthday, it was now my turn. After waking up at 7, I received a handmade card from my younger host brother and a photo frame with a picture as a gift. Then it was off to the Hindi class, where they sang for me and I got to shake hands with everyone. There was the first cake there.
At 5 PM (all guests arrived at 5:30), there was a party with small snacks and cake. Two cakes were quickly ordered and arrived in 10 minutes, along with a homemade cake. So, the cake counter was at 4. The German cake is definitely better than the Indian one. At the party, there were also a few small gifts, such as a hand-painted glass (see photo).
In the evening, we went to a Tibetan restaurant, where the food was delicious. The restaurant was decorated with the typical flags from the Himalayan region. It was a bit fancier, so the bill ended up being 40€. The day was very eventful and will stay in my memory for a long time.
