no brunch, as Micha is also cruising around in Norway.

I have been looking into the finances, as there are various opinions circulating about it at the regulars' table.

Here is my research on what to expect with Hurtigruten:

• You can set up a ship account at the beginning of the journey, but it's not mandatory. It is an onboard account through which all costs incurred on-site will be settled upon departure, e.g., additional excursions, king crab meals, oysters, steaks, etc. 😀
• The account can be settled in cash or with a credit card.
• The PIN corresponds to the PIN of the VISA.
• Payment on board can be made in cash or with a credit card, with credit card being the more common and preferred payment method in Norway. If paying in cash, EUR or NOK is accepted, but change will always be given in the local currency, which is NOK.
