Due to the weather, we decided to visit the two museums in Campbell River today - and it was worth it. The Campbell River Museum was particularly great! Interesting information...

Today we drove to our next stop, Tofino, in bright sunshine. Tofino is located on the west coast of Vancouver Island on the Pacific Ocean and the Pacific Rim National Park. Here we will spend the next three nights in a lodge on a rugged headland with 2 km of private beach.
On the drive to Tofino , we stopped at Cathedral Cove Park and walked in a rainforest area with Douglas spruce trees that are over 800 years old.
After arriving at the lodge, we were able to leisurely explore the surrounding area and the pretty town of Tofino . In the evening we enjoyed the great weather on the beach and ended the day. A really great change after the rainy day yesterday!
