Just relax and unwind

Our first full day in Maui starts today with breakfast on our terrace overlooking the sea and beach. After the past few days of travel, we're enjoying taking this morning slowly and relaxing.

In the morning, we're going to Lahaina, a small town 10 minutes away from us, where we'll explore numerous little shops along the beach promenade.

Afterwards, we can't miss a visit to the city's swimming pool, where I am immediately recognized by a lifeguard I met on my last vacation. It instantly feels like home again, and he even promised me a surfing session together - I'm excited!

In the afternoon, we'll conquer the beach right outside our door and enjoy the sunshine.

And how could such a vacation day end any differently than with a sunset that we get to watch from the shore - in the presence of numerous surfers. It's hard to know where to look, at the horizon or at the surfers' tricks...

You see, today the vacation truly begins for us and we are fully and completely in paradise!
