Day 5 - Redondela to Pontevedra
The toilet lid is up, I hate it when it’s left open! And also, although my female readership might harshly criticize me now, it’s always been the ladies who leave the toilet lid...

After yesterday's lovely evening with people from all over Europe on the terrace of the hostel, I woke up very well this morning. I slept really well in the modern accommodation, and although there are quite a few people here, it seems as if we never cross paths.
I also feel that I am calmer today, or rather I want to be calmer. I have been moving too quickly, but I will now take my time, going slower with more breaks to allow my thoughts some free space.
Once again this morning, I am accompanied by a very good friend with the following statement on my way:
“The past can only pull you back if you choose to bring it into the present.” – Marianne Williamson
That's a really beautiful thought; after a cat's breakfast, I start my dreams.
The sun is shining quite pleasantly again, illuminating life.
The streets are still quiet, quite empty, and untroubled.
It is pure pleasure to stroll once more in this silence through this beautiful Spanish city. After a while, more and more pilgrims begin to appear on the route towards Caldas de Reis after covering some kilometers.
Once again, there are incredibly beautiful scenic paths, mostly away from the roads, on old trails or forest paths. It seems to me today that there is a more calm and contemplative atmosphere.
