We are going to Manorola today. Manorola is one of the 5 villages in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Cinque Terre.
We are returning here after 12 years. Today there are more tourists, and it seems that there were quite a lot of tourist groups walking in a line.
We started by taking local buses to La Spezia and to the train station. There is also a local bus and a taxi available in the area. Everyday life feels more approachable. On the way back to Lerici, the bus was full of high school students.
After that, we took the train to Manorola. It's the second station after Riomaggiore. There were many people on the platform and security guards. The train ride was short, only 10 minutes.
We walked around and had focaccia for lunch. The sea and the mountains are very close, along with all the colorful houses lining the slopes.
