It starts in one week!!!

The excitement is slowly building up. The things that need to be packed in the backpack have been gathered together.

I want to hike from Hannover, my place of residence, to the southernmost point in Germany within 6 weeks. That is a boundary stone (No. 147) at the German-Austrian border, south of Obersdorf.

Finally, I will also go to the highest point in this country, the Zugspitze (2,963 m above sea level).

What is it about for me: I want to spend a lot of time in nature, in silence, decelerated. I am curious about the places and landscapes that I mostly only know from the train or car window. What kind of people will I meet? Will they be friendly, helpful and courteous to the hiker or will I be looked at strangely and with skepticism? Perhaps dear people will accompany me on my way for a little while? I'm excited!!!
