I frequently visit Tbilisi, and over the years I’ve discovered many cozy spots to enjoy coffee, desserts, and the vibrant atmosphere of the city. I want to share with you some current locations in the city center that delight both tourists and locals.

1. Coffee Lair

Address: 14 Giorgi Chitaia St., Tbilisi 0101
For me, Coffee Lair is not merely a café but the ideal place for work and relaxation. They offer classic breakfasts, hearty brunches, Italian pasta, homemade lemonades, cheesecakes, and craft beer. The atmosphere is calm, the music is unobtrusive, and the staff are consistently friendly. I recall the first time I tried their coffee and immediately knew I’d be returning time and again. Even my hyperactive dog felt at home here!

2. Kvarts Coffee

Address: 26 Shota Rustaveli Avenue, Tbilisi 0108
I adore stopping by Kvarts Coffee for a quick takeaway coffee and a dose of inspiration. Here, an artist sketches portraits on your cup – for free! The underground café is cozy and the staff are warm. The coffee is delicious, and having a portrait on your cup makes every visit unique.

3. Chaduna

Address: Tabidze Galaqtion St. 18, Tbilisi 0105
Chaduna consistently impresses me with its eclectic interior that evokes a communal living space, replete with art exhibitions. I’ve tried enormous portions of syrniki, signature bruschettas, and fresh fruits with lemonade. The staff are exceptionally welcoming, and the flavor combinations are inspiring. This place is perfect for breakfast or a late lunch, especially if you’re in the mood for something unique.

4. Gabriadze Café

Address: 13 Shavteli St., Tbilisi 0105 (at the Gabriadze Theater)
For me, Gabriadze Café is a must-visit in Tbilisi. The interior is adorned with Rezo Gabriadze’s ceramics, and there’s a separate room dedicated to the play 'Ramona.' The menu features khachapuri, pies, mchadi, and exquisite desserts, along with wines from all regions of Georgia. I enjoy settling on the veranda, admiring the famous tower, listening to the whispers of the Old City, and observing the tiniest tower clock in the world while sipping a coffee or enjoying a glass of wine. The food here is refined, far from mainstream, and the staff are attentive – every time I feel completely at home.

5. Delicato Café

Address: 22 Pavle Ingorokva St., Tbilisi
Delicato is my preferred spot for a serene morning or a quick coffee break. The café is cozy and comfortable, the staff are friendly, and the coffee is always excellent. I often grab their homemade pastries and light lunches – everything is fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is perfect for both work and meeting friends.

6. CALLIGRAPHYx Café & Wine Bar

Address: Kote Abkhazi 39, Tbilisi 0105
CALLIGRAPHYx is perfect if you wish to blend coffee with wine tasting. In the morning, they serve coffee, desserts, and sandwiches, while in the evening, you can explore Georgian and international wines with expertly curated boards. The atmosphere is warm, the staff are welcoming, and the historic part of the city adds an extra charm. My favorites here are the donuts and premium coffee.

7. Madame Choux Tbilisi

Address: Kote Afkhazi Street 31, Tbilisi 0162
I enjoy visiting Madame Choux for French pastries. Every season they introduce at least 10 new flavors along with cheesecakes and fruit tarts. The small courtyard atmosphere transports me to Paris: crispy pastries filled with cream, a cozy setting, and delightful design. This is the ideal location for a sweet interlude after exploring the city center.

8. Natra

Address: Samreklo 17, next to the Holy Trinity Cathedral, Tbilisi
Natra is a petite café located right by the cathedral where I consistently stop after walks. The interior is adorned with antiques, and the dishes are crafted with care and passion. The trout with pomegranate sauce and homemade lemonade are absolutely delightful. The atmosphere is tranquil, and the staff are attentive – a splendid place to unwind after a hectic day.

9. Lolita

Address: 7 Tamar Chovelidze St., Tbilisi
This is a modern art café where I relish meeting friends and working on my laptop. The menu offers breakfast, lunch, desserts, and premium coffee. The interior is stylish, the staff are friendly, and the coffee is always fresh. I particularly appreciate the serene ambiance that allows me to relax and concentrate.

10. Stamba Café

Address: 14 Merab Kostava St., Tbilisi 0108 Stamba Café, with its industrial-style interior, is one of my favorite spots for a leisurely breakfast or meeting friends. You can sample Georgian and European dishes, signature desserts, and freshly brewed coffee. The atmosphere encourages a prolonged stay, and the staff are always attentive. Every visit leaves a lovely impression.
